German food downtown?
I heard about this place from a German student on campus, but I wasn’t sure what to expect. I live Downtown Berkeley, very near to the Downtown Berkeley BART station and I run across international students from the University of California, Berkeley all the time. When I meet a new student, I often ask them what part of the world they are from and if they have any favorite restaurants here in town. On this particular day a students mentioned that there was a German restaurant on San Pablo Ave, and I should give it a try. He couldn’t remember the name of the restaurant but there aren’t very many German spots around, so it wasn’t hard to find. One afternoon I decided to meet up with my cousin over lunch and decided we should give this place a try. I’m really happy that we did. Eating outside was really fun and I enjoyed the pastry and sandwich a lot.
